DAHD Conducts Cleanliness Drive at AQCS, New Delhi under Special Campaign 5.0
Union Minister Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel Praises AQCS for Clean and Efficient Infrastructure
The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, organized a cleanliness drive on 29th October 2025 at the Animal Quarantine & Certification Services (AQCS), New Delhi, as part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0.
The event was graced by Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, along with Secretary, DAHD, Shri Naresh Pal Gangwar, and other senior officers. Prof. Baghel inspected the AQCS facilities and commended the high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and infrastructure management, highlighting AQCS’s critical role as India’s gateway for healthy animal imports, ensuring scientific quarantine and health checks for all consignments.
The drive saw enthusiastic participation from AQCS officers and staff, who cleaned the premises, cleared obsolete materials, and reorganized workspaces. Under Special Campaign 5.0, DAHD has shown notable progress in file review, pending matter disposal, and cleanliness initiatives, generating ₹5,54,753 through the disposal of scrap and redundant materials.
The initiative reinforces DAHD’s commitment to promoting efficiency, hygiene, and transparency across its offices in line with the Government’s broader “Swachhata Hi Seva” vision.
